To split PDF every N pages is to cut a document into regular, equally sized blocks: every 2, 5 or 10 pages, a new file begins. It is the fastest way to handle a repeating, predictable structure, because you set one number instead of typing out every range by hand.
The classic case is a large scan: a continuous capture where each record takes a fixed number of pages (a form over 2 pages, a case file over 4). Cutting every N pages turns that single scan into one file per record in a single pass. The same approach helps you split a large PDF such as a book into chapters of fixed length, or meet an upload page limit, for example a portal that only accepts documents of 20 pages or fewer.
The output is a ZIP archive with one file per chunk, kept in the order of the source document. When the total page count is not an exact multiple of N, the last file simply holds the remainder, so no page is lost or duplicated.
If your cuts do not fall at even intervals, use split to define custom ranges instead; to sort front and back sides after scanning, split-even-odd separates odd and even pages; and if a cut goes wrong, merge reassembles the files into one PDF so you can start over. On privacy, your files are processed and then deleted automatically, and no sign-up is required.
